Dieting and Exercise Tips to Lose Weight For Good
Now that you have established that you want to lose a few pounds we need to look at the best ways to burn fat and get yourself lean.
Dieting
The most important aspect of losing weight is your diet. It doesn’t matter if you go to the gym 5 times a week and do all the other stuff, if your diet is poor your results will also be poor. The philosophy you will need to adopt for eating to lose weight is simple. You do not do fad diets, you aim to get healthy. In my personal experience with my own body and my clients body’s the best way to get them lean and toned is to get them inspired about health. When you eat to get healthy the weight just drops right off of you because you are not eating the same old polluting junk foods. If you do a fad diet the problem is the weight comes right back as soon as you finish it. If you do not change your diet and eating habits for the long term then how can you expect the results to be long term? The main foods you need to avoid when trying to lose those extra few pounds include pastas and breads, foods with refined sugar in them (candy, soft drinks, etc.), highly processed foods (these are high in salt and sugar and fat), and fatty fried foods You can replace these foods by eating as much fruit and vegetables as you like, natural foods which are high in protein such as eggs, milk and lean meat cuts. If you get back to a natural diet that moves away from highly processed foods you will find that your weight loss journey is an easy one. You do not have to worry about counting calories and all that junk, just focus on staying healthy. A natural diet is typically low calories in any case because it’s free from the bad foods which are full of fat and sugar.
Avoiding the Pressure
When you are trying to control your eating habits it is important that you avoid eating until you feel “full.” This is a common misconception held by many Americans that is the leading factor in our nation’s obesity rates. Never feel guilty for not being able to clean your plate. In fact, you can avoid this situation altogether by underestimated your hunger and putting less food on your plate. This way, you can ensure that you don’t overeat.
Exercise
Of course, if you want to get lean and toned and lose weight then you need to exercise. I am not going to go into too much detail here because there are hundreds of articles about exercising for weight loss on the internet. You need to do both cardio exercise and weight training. A mixture of the two is the best way to burn calories because they both raise your heart rate, keep your metabolism up and burn calories even when you aren’t working out. The more muscle you have on your body the less fat you are going to have because the two do not co-exist well together. Adding muscles, therefore, should become a priority for all those who want to lose weight. Hence why cardio in itself is not the best strategy for losing weight, because it will not increase muscle mass to the extent lifting weights will.
